You should definitely take this tour if you want to learn more about the culture of Ancient Egypt. Such exciting landmarks as the Egyptian Museum and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali will tell you the most interesting stories!
In the morning I will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and take to the Egyptian Museum, the oldest in the whole region. It is an impressive repository of knowledge and culture from bygone eras. The exposition of the museum covers a very long period of time: from pre-dynastic Egypt to the period when it was ruled by the Hellenes.
The most famous exhibits of the museum are the burials of Tui and Yui, the Narmer Palette — a priceless monument dedicated to the unification of Ancient Egypt, as well as Psusennes I and the treasures of Tanis. In the Egyptian Museum you will find grandiose statues of the ancient pharaohs Menkaur, Khafre and Khufu. Among other archaeological treasures are numerous papyri, jewels and sarcophagi, which fit perfectly into the concept of the museum. You will be surprised!
After that, one of the most beautiful architectural structures in the region, the Muhammad Ali Mosque will be waiting for us. This mosque was built in the Turkish style, so it has a prayer hall and an open courtyard. There you will find a huge dome that crowns the spacious hall, as well as 4 semi-domes and 4 gentle domes at the corners, which complement the overall picture well. The building has two minbars. One of them is made of wood and painted green, the colour of Islam. Another was built later, made of marble.
After this interesting tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.
