The Bale Mountains trekking

Day 1: 

• We will head to the Bale Mountains where we'll meet our crew before making our way to the park headquarters.
• Along the way, we'll have the chance to see many endangered and endemic animals, including baboons, gray duikers, warthogs.
• Additionally, we'll get a glimpse of the abyssinian catbird, wicker ibises, and black-headed siskins, which are among the birds that inhabit the juniper forests near the Bale Mountains headquarters.
• We'll spend the night at the Dingsho campsite, which is situated at an altitude of 3100 meters above sea level.

Day 2:  

• We'll have breakfast and start our 18-kilometer hike to Sodota Camp. Along the way, we'll witness the stunning scenery of the Volla and Web rivers, close to Dinsho. 
• These regions are home to various animals such as blue-winged goose, stone hyrax, and several birds of prey. The natural beauty of the Bale Mountains is renowned beyond Ethiopia's borders. 
• We'll spend the night at the Sodota campsite, situated at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level.

Day 3:

• On this day we'll encounter numerous natural attractions en route. As we pass through the Mararo Valley, we'll have the opportunity to witness eagles nesting alongside the verros. We may also have a chance to encounter the ethiopian wolf and several distinctive bird species. The journey should take about seven hours. 
• We'll spend the night at the Wasema campsite, which is situated at an altitude of 3900 meters above sea level.

Day 4:

• As we trek through the region, the local mountain range's formation becomes apparent due to the eruption of a prehistoric super-volcano. Additionally, the ice age played a significant role in shaping Ethiopia's relief. 
• During our journey you'll witness unique landscapes consisting of  granite boulders. The travel time is approximately 6 hours, and we'll spend the night at the Rafu campsite, which is located 4000 meters above sea level.

Day 5: 

• After a filling breakfast, we'll continue. During our trek, we may come across predators like wolves and falcons. We will find stunning alpine landscapes and beautiful lakes. 
• From there, we'll take a car to our lodging for the night in Robe. The journey should take around 7-8 hours, and we'll spend the night at the Tokuma Hotel.

Day 6: 

• We start a new day with a hearty breakfast, after which our path leads away from the mountains of Bale. Our task is to get to the southern part of the country, the city of Arba Minch. Our group will make several stops along the way. 
• Upon arrival in the city, we will settle into our accommodation and prepare for the rest. Overnight at the Tourist Hotel. 

Day 7: 

• After breakfast, we hike to Chamu Lake, where we take a boat ride to spot some of the largest crocodiles, along with hippos and birds. 
• In the evening, we will visit the Dorze tribe to witness their cotton weaving skills and unique beehive houses made from local materials. Explore the village, learn about their history and traditions. Overnight at the Tourist hotel in Arba Minch.

Day 8: 

• Today, we will visit different tribes in Ethiopia. The first tribe we will encounter is the Konso tribe, renowned for their remarkable terracing techniques and intricate wooden totems devoted to their ancestors. Their settlements are included in the World Heritage List. 
• We will also visit the Hammer tribe near Turmi, recognized for their exquisite ceramics and unique hairstyles. The women of this tribe adorn themselves with painted goat skins and numerous necklaces that indicate their elevated status and that of their families. 
• Our accommodation for the night will be at the Emerald House in Turmi.

Day 9:

• On this day, we'll take a boat across the Omo River to visit the Dassenech tribe. They live semi-nomadically on the riverbanks and have different clans in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Sudan. The Dassenech people are known for their unique hairstyles and engage in agriculture and fishing. 
• After meeting them, we'll head to visit the Ari people, who grow coffee and fruits. They sell some of their crops and use the rest for themselves, and their settlements are like blooming gardens. 
• We'll spend the night at the Nasa Hotel in Jinka.

Day 10: 

• We will wake up early to visit the Mursi tribe. The women stretch their lips with special discs, and the men participate in ritual stick fights called Donga. This tribe is famous for wearing clay discs in their lips, which is still considered normal. 
• After the tour, we will head to Jinka Bako airport for our flight to the Ethiopian capital, where we arrive in the evening, concluding our journey.
