- The first stop on our route is Lake Rwihinda Nature Reserve is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Burundi. The flora and fauna around the lake are unique. Shrubs and forests cover a large area here. Some areas are used for fishing and agriculture, while others are used for nature studies.
- Rare birds are found nesting in the marshes and islets of the lake. There are a lot of unusual specimens here. Don't miss the opportunity to get up close to them!
- The next stop is Ruvubu National Park. This national park is considered to be the biggest one in Burundi. Ruvubu National Park is called so because of the Ruvubu River that flows here. Walking there you will be amazed at the huge variety of animals and plants. You are sure to meet hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, 5 species of primates, around 400 different species of birds and many more!
