Brilliantov's House in Tomsk: The modern art of restoration!
The building at Kirov, 27a, being restored under the leadership of businessman Yevgeny Menyailo, has become a living testimony to the art of restoration. Initially owning only the ground floor, Menyailo decided to rent two more floors for 49 years to bring a new vector to the history of this wooden masterpiece.
- Historical heritage: Built around 1898 and owned by the philistine Brilliantov before the revolution, the house became the object of restoration by the method of sorting. The log house was marked, disassembled, and the rotted elements were replaced with new ones. During the restoration, about 70% of authentic materials were used.
- Recovery technology: The preservation of most of the platbands and the use of original elements served as the basis for a magnificent restoration. Decorative elements such as the frieze have been restored with a unique ornament discovered during disassembly and recreated exactly.
- Architectural details: The Brilliantov House is not only being restored, but also acquiring a new life using modern technology and style. While preserving its historical value, the building acquires modern features that give it a unique character.
