The museum illustrates the struggle of South African citizens against injustice and oppression.
Professional historians, artists, designers, curators and filmmakers worked on the exposition of the museum. The interior, the design is thought out to the smallest detail: all the components of the museum serve to tell people about the history of South Africa through landscape and space and means of artistic expression.
Countless photographs, videos, artefacts and text panels are collected here, reflecting the spirit of the country's difficult period of apartheid. There are 22 exhibition areas here, and each of them takes us on a journey through history, telling tragic and emotional stories about discrimination and the fight against an unjust, racist state system.
