3 Days Mount Meru trekking

• Our tour begins when you will be met by your guide at the hotel where you are staying. Your guide will answer all questions related to accommodation, including whether to purchase a transfer or look in Arusha. You will be transferred to your lodge. Karibu Sana (you're welcome)!

Day 1: from Arusha to Momella Gate (1500m) and to Mariakamba Hut (2500m).

• Duration: 5-7 hours on foot.
• Landscape: forest.
• After a hearty breakfast at the lodge we go to the Ngongongare gate. At the gate, it is hydrated by the execution of your documents, after which the Arusha National Park awaits us. We will make several stops to observe amazing Tanzanian wildlife.
• Next, we will arrive at the Momella gate, where we will carry out a luggage check.
  The first day of our journey is more like a walking safari than a delayed ascent. On the way we will meet net fats, buffaloes, waterbucks and zebras.
• Then we are going to stay at the Miriakamba hut for a night, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: from Miriakamba Hut (2500m) to Saddle Hut (3500m).

• Duration: 4-5 hours on foot.
• Landscape: forest.
• Before a busy day, we will have breakfast, after which we continue our exciting ascent. On our way, we will be able to see the crater of Mount Meru. Our goal is to reach the Saddle Hut, which stands in the Alpine Desert Lookout. If we're fast enough, a hot lunch will be waiting for us right there. 
• After a hearty lunch and afternoon rest, we will have an acclimatization ascent to Little Meru (3820 m). On the way, we will have beautiful views of Big Meru and its surroundings. 
• Then we will start slowly, probably towards the night ascent. On this occasion, dinner will be served earlier than usual. You will have time to rest and recuperate before the difficult night climb. We strongly advise you to go to bed around 19:00.

Day 3: from Saddle Hut (3500m) to Meru Socialist Peak (4566m), to Miriakamba (2500m).

• Duration: 9-12 hours on foot.
• Landscape: alpine desert.
• We will wake up in the first half of the night and have tea and cookies. During the last day of the ascent, we will walk along a steep path and get to the point of 3800 meters. Further, 4530 meters. We will pass along the rocky ridge between the Crater and the inner rocks of the Meru mountains. 
• And finally, we will conquer the peak with the sunrise, the height is 4566 meters! Early morning is a great time to take beautiful and memorable pictures. We will arrange a short stay on the mountain for you to enjoy the view and take photos. 
• After that, we will begin the descent to the Saddle Hut, where we are going to rest, and then we will go to the Miriakamba hut, and Momella gate.
• A minibus will be waiting for you there and take you to Arusha or to the airport in case you have a fly.
