Get ready for an unforgettable adventure! Take on the unique challenge of scaling Kilimanjaro via the Umbwe Route in just 6 days. This journey will push your limits and test your stamina as you navigate through rugged terrain and unpredictable weather conditions. But the reward is worth it - breathtaking views of Africa's highest peak from the summit. Join us and let's conquer the mountain together!
After arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will meet our staff member and go for an overnight stay at a hotel in Moshi. There we will provide you with all the necessary information about our trip, prepare for the trip, check the equipment and answer all your questions.
Day 1:
Our journey begins with a departure from Moshi city to Kilimanjaro National Park. After getting the necessary permits, we will hit the road to enjoy the beautiful tropical landscapes and forest paths while we tell you about the park's inhabitants and features. The trail is initially slippery, so we recommend using trekking poles and leggings.
We'll pass through a rainforest and camp in the heart of the forest.
Day 2:
After a good rest, we'll have a hearty breakfast and aim to climb the steep slope along the Umbwe Ridge to reach the Barranco Camp in a local valley.
The Umbwe Ridge is known for its stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including lush rainforests, glaciers, and vast valleys. Despite its beauty, the trail is not for the faint of heart, as it requires a high level of fitness and hiking experience. The trail is considered to be one of the most difficult and demanding routes to Kilimanjaro's summit, but for those who are up to the challenge, the rewards are truly unforgettable.
Day 3:
After breakfast, we'll climb the steep ridge of the Barranco Wall and head to the Karanga Valley.
The Barranco Wall is a steep and challenging section of the climb up Mount Kilimanjaro, but many climbers find it to be a unique and rewarding part of the overall experience. The views from the wall can be breathtaking, and the sense of accomplishment upon reaching the top is often very satisfying. The Barranco Wall is a fascinating geological formation and a key part of the journey up Mount Kilimanjaro. It will be a tough challenge, but with teamwork and fortitude, we'll overcome it and rest in the Karanga camp.
Day 4:
We continue towards the Barafu Camp, capturing amazing views along the way.
After a short experience we will rest and go sleep early to prepare for the night climb to the summit.
Day 5:
The most challenging part of our journey begins as we start the ascent between 12 pm and 2 am.
We'll move to the top through glaciers, scree, and snow, and enjoy stunning views of the sunrise and the surrounding lands from Uhuru Peak - the highest point on the African continent. Uhuru Peak is a popular destination for hikers and mountaineers from around the world, and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
After celebrating, we'll descend to the Mweka Camp.
Day 6:
We'll have breakfast, a ceremony of gratitude, and receive certificates of ascent at the Mweka Gate.
Our car will be waiting to take us to our hotel in Moshi for dinner and rest before departing for your home country.
