Getting to know St Petersburg

You are in St Petersburg and don't know where to start? It's no wonder, as our city is the cultural capital of Russia. There are more than 100 museums, more than 5,000 monuments, and the entire historic centre is listed as a UNESCO site. For a full and structured, yet bright and fulfilling first experience, start with a sightseeing tour!

• The walk starts in the heart of St. Petersburg, in the main city square. Here you'll see the winter residence of the Russian emperors and the world's tallest solid granite column.
• Then we'll walk to the promenade to enjoy the view of the Neva and the Peter and Paul Fortress. Along the way you will discover many interesting things, such as

- Who founded our city and why? 
- Where are all the Russian emperors from the time of Peter the Great buried?
- Why do they draw bridges? 
- What fish live in the Neva River? 
- Are the pirates of St Petersburg true or false?  

• On our route will also be the city's first enterprise, the Admiralty, in whose fountain the airborne troops love to bathe. By the way, the spire of this building conceals a secret, but more about that in person).
• You'll see St Isaac's Cathedral - the main temple of pre-revolutionary St Petersburg, whose beauty and monumentality still leave no one indifferent.
• Finally, we'll stroll along Nevsky Prospect, St Petersburg's most famous street, home to the Kazan Cathedral, the House of Books, the famous Yeliseyevsky shop and a host of other sights.
