We will tour the tea plantations near Kibale Forest National Park and learn about the different ways of growing and harvesting tea while enjoying the beautiful scenery around the tea plantations.
Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa. Its 795 km² of land is home to 13 species of primates, including chimpanzees. It is the most beautiful and the most diverse stretch of rainforest in all of Uganda.
Forest cover predominates in the central and northern parts of the park on the elevated Fort Portal Plateau. At the northern end of Kibale Park is the highest point, rising to 1,590 m above sea level.
Kibale National Park is situated in western Uganda, about 26km south-east of the beautiful town of Fort Portal, one of Uganda's most scenic places to visit.
We will then walk through local coffee gardens, pick coffee seeds, and learn about the traditional method of obtaining powdered coffee by grinding/Pounding and roasting.
