Khatyn is a small Belarusian village whose name has forever entered the tragic military history of the country. On March 22, 1943, 149 residents were burned alive or shot by punitive SS battalions. And in 1969, a memorial complex appeared here, which is visited annually by more than 200 thousand tourists.
