Explore the significant historical landmarks located in Northern Ethiopia, including Lalibela, Lake Tana, Gonder, and Semien Mountains. Immerse yourself in Ethiopian hospitality and embark on a journey like no other.
First of all, we will meet in Addis Ababa. Then we are waiting for a domestic flight to Bahir Dar where you will have the opportunity to visit Lake Tana and embark on a boat excursion to observe the historic monasteries situated on the islands.
Your stay will be at Homeland Hotel.
Day 2:
On this day we will drive to Semien Mountains National Park with a lunch stop in Gonder.
Upon arrival, we will explore the UNESCO world heritage park and witness the Ethiopian endemic animals such as gelada baboons and the breathtaking scenery of the park.
Overnight at a hotel in Gonder.
Day 3:
On this day we will drive back to the ancient city of Gonder founded by King Fasil in the XVI century. We will visit the Fasil Ghebbi with its stunning architectural design and swimming pool, as well as the XVII century Debre Birhan Silase Church.
We will spend the night at Goha Hotel.
Day 4:
This day involves a 300 km drive from Gonder to Lalibela.
Upon arrival, we will visit the Rock-Hewn Churches, carved during the reign of King Lalibela (1181-1221). These magnificent rock churches are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Overnight at Lal Hotel.
Day 5:
We will take a domestic flight to Addis Ababa where we will embark on a city tour.
Later in the evening, we will attend a farewell dinner at a cultural restaurant before departure.
