Explore Omo Valley in 6 days

Day 1:

• Our journey begins with a flight from Addis to Jinka, where we will visit the South Omo Research Center and the Ethnological Museum to gain insights into the various tribal groups residing in the region. 
• Depending on our schedule, we may also have a chance to visit the evening market of the Ari tribe. 
• Overnight at the Mango Cramp.

Day 2:

• On this day, we will visit Mursi tribe in Konso to meet these renowned people known for their unique lip plates and ear lobes. Engage with the tribe members, learn about the significance of this cultural practice, and capture the mesmerising beauty of their adorned faces.
• After a day filled with cultural immersion and photography, return to your comfortable accommodation for a well-deserved rest.

Day 3: 

• Today, you'll delve deeper into the captivating culture of the Hamar tribe. Witness their vibrant ceremonies and rituals, offering a glimpse into their rich traditions. Immerse yourself in their way of life, capturing the essence of their colorful clothing, unique hairstyles, and intricate body decorations.
• Interact with the friendly Hamar people, learn about their agricultural practices, and gain a deeper appreciation for their strong sense of community and identity. Every interaction presents an opportunity for memorable photographs and an authentic cultural experience.
• Retire to your accommodation to reflect on the day's adventures.

Day 4: 

• After breakfast, embark on a 72-kilometer drive to visit the fascinating Arbore tribe. Engage with the Arbore people, known for their unique customs and traditions. Capture the beauty of their traditional attire, intricate beadwork, and elaborate hairstyles, which play a significant role in their cultural identity.
• Immerse yourself in the daily life of the Arbore tribe, gaining insights into their social structure, traditional practices, and agricultural traditions. Through your interactions and photography, you'll create lasting memories of this vibrant community.
• Return to your accommodation to relax and reflect on the day's encounters.

Day 5: 

• After breakfast, set off on an exciting journey to explore weekly tribal markets. The market is a vibrant hub where various tribes of the Omo Valley region come together to socialize, exchange goods, and showcase their cultural heritage.
• Witness the bustling atmosphere as tribes like Ari, Tsamai, Hamar, and Banna mix in the colorful marketplace, providing ample opportunities for photography and cultural exchange.
• Immerse yourself in the lively ambiance, engage with locals, and capture the essence of this dynamic gathering. Witness traditional dances, examine handicrafts, and sample local delicacies!

Day 6: 

• On the final day of your Omo Valley tour, you'll bid farewell to the captivating region and begin your journey back to Jinka. Enjoy a scenic drive, savoring the landscapes and reflecting on the incredible experiences and photographs you've captured throughout the trip.
