The route Lemosho is rightly called one of the most amazing paths to the main mountain of African continent – Kilimanjaro. Already on the way to it you will enjoy stunning views, but it would be much better to climb this mountains! This route is the most preferable for us, because here tourists will find beautiful scenery, and the climb is not as difficult as compared to other mountains of similar height.
Our representative will meet you at the airport and take you directly to the Panama Hotel Moshi in the city of the same name, here we will meet your guide, who will give you all the necessary information and help you with equipment, which is very important for a successful ascent.
Day 2: Trip to the Big Tree Camp
Early in the morning, at eight o'clock, you will be met at the hotel and we will go to the Lemosho Gate, which is on the western slope of Mount Kilimanjaro. There we will check in and head to the Big Tree camp where we will have a rest. Time – 4 h., meals – included.
Day 3: To Shira Camp 1
On the third day, beautiful moorlands await us, there will also be volcanic formations that give the wasteland a unique flavor. Our main task this day is to get to the Shira 1 camp. It is best to save energy, we will climb to a fairly high height. Time – 7 h., meals – included.
Day 4: To Shira Camp 2
On this day, we will be able to see with our own eyes what is extremely rare in Africa – ice fields, we will also admire the unusual view of Kibo. Our unhurried but confident ascent and beautiful landscapes will give you strength on the way along the Shirinsky plateau. Our main task is to get to the Shira 2 Camp.
In the late afternoon, we will also need to take a short acclimatization walk, after which we will go to the camp to rest. Time – 5 h., meals – included.
Day 5: To Camp Barranko
On the fifth day we are waiting for the upland desert and lava ridges just under the glaciers of the Western Gap. The most beautiful place is the peak of the Lava Tower, where we will definitely climb.
In the evening we will descend to our camp near the Great Barranco Valley, where we will rest and spend the night. Time – 7 h., meals – included.
Day 6: To Karanga Camp
On this day, we will first go down to the Great Barranco, an incredible gorge, then we will have a hard climb up the rock, which will take a lot of time and effort. We will pass under the Heim and Kersten glaciers and go to the Karanga valley, from where we will head for the night.
Around noon we will have an acclimatization transition at an altitude of more than 4000 meters. Time – 5 h., meals – included.
Day 7: To Barafu Camp
After a hearty breakfast, we will go to the Barafu Camp, here we will stop for a while and rest, because we will face serious trials at night and the next day. It is better to have dinner and sleep in advance, because between 11 and 12 am we will start climbing to the top. Time – 3 hours, meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 8: To Uhuru peak and down to Millennium Camp
So, at night we start our exciting ascent to the top of the glaciers. We will walk for about 5 hours, climbing to a great height in a short period of time. We will reach Uhuru Peak at an altitude of 5895 m! From there we will continue to Barafu. At the camp we will have breakfast before finally heading to Millennium Camp. Time – from 12 to 15 hours, meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 9: To Mweka Gates
Our next stop on the way back is the Mweka gate, where we will reach through a real rainforest. At the point of arrival, we will take care of all the necessary formalities, and you will receive real certificates that you can flaunt! Here we will be met by cars in which we will go to your hotel, where you will rest, take a shower and have a snack. Meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner included, overnight stay included.
Day 10: Rest or departure day
You can use this day as it suits you, relax after a difficult journey. You can walk around the city of Moshi, buy a souvenir before boarding the plane at the airport. Other tours (Safari, Zanzibar, etc.) will be available if you wish to learn more about Tanzania. Meals – breakfast included.
Included: transfer, guide, meals, hot water for washing, drinking water, camping fees, park entry fees, government taxes, portable oxygen tanks, ox meter, emergency first-aid kit, stethoscope, portable flush toilet with a toilet and tent, mountain climbing certificates.
Insurance is excluded.
