The route offered to you is extremely diverse: on the way, you will find both a safari on the African plains and hiking through the rugged terrain of the Ngorongoro highlands with its features. Walk a fascinating path from wild plains, dense tropical forests stretching for many kilometers, and to the very savannahs of the famous Rift Valley. Unforgettable sensations, beautiful landscapes and African flora and fauna await you. Don't miss the opportunity to learn all about the local people - the Maasai! It is here, in the heart of the African continent, that you will be closer to the wild than ever before.
Do not waste your time and go to the cradle of humanity with us! As soon as you arrive at the airport, you will go to the hotel located in Moshi; the journey will take about 45 minutes. A little later, you will be given a briefing on the upcoming trip and answer all your questions.
Day 1: Moshi to Ngorongoro Crater
Early in the morning we will depart from your hotel in Moshi for the Ngorongoro Crater, a place of astounding beauty. Upon arrival, we will descend to the bottom of the crater; Ngorongoro is rightfully considered one of the greatest wonders throughout the world! This is facilitated by the fact that Ngorongoro is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List; this place is known far beyond the continent.
The crater, despite its small size, is home to an astounding variety of wildlife, and here you have the chance to encounter a wide variety of animals, including the famous African Big Five.
In the afternoon we will arrive at the edge of the crater at the campsite to rest and take a shower, get ready for bed. The night will be spent at the top of the crater at the Simba campsite.
Day 2: From Ngorongoro Highlands to Empakai Crater
We get up early in the morning to go to the Empakai Crater for a great walk; the journey will take about 2-3 hours. We will study the crater and the descent to its bottom along the trodden path.
Here we will find an alkaline soda lake, which plays a key role in the local ecosystem, thanks to which pink flamingos live and find food here all year round.
After the beautiful flamingos, we return to our camp, where we will light a fire and prepare for dinner.
Day 3: From Empakai Crater to Camp Acacia
On the 3rd day we have a hearty breakfast, load our things onto donkeys, and continue our way. Our destination for today is the Maasai village. There we will have lunch and leave the Ngorongoro Game Reserve.
This day we are waiting for hiking with donkeys. In the evening, we will stop at Acacia Camp where we will rest and prepare for the night.
Day 4: From Camp Acacia on Lake Natron
During the day we will be accompanied by beautiful views of the Rift Valley and Lake Natron. The terrain here looks very unusual: the ground is covered with ash, which has been lying here since the earthquake in 2007.
After lunch we will move to the Acacia Campsite.
Day 5: Mto Wa Mbu and Moshi
We start the day with a hearty breakfast and then return to Moshi. Our path passes through an agricultural market, which is especially nice (don't miss the opportunity to stock up on local exotic goods).
The city of Mto Wa Mbu that we will visit today is especially interesting because more than 120 Tanzanian tribes live here, each of which is significantly distinguished by its traditions and culture. Therefore, visiting the city is a great opportunity to get acquainted with a foreign culture and way of life!
Mto Wa Mbu has countless vendors and artisans who sell souvenirs and other products that are made by the Maasai tribes. Towards the afternoon, our group arrives in Moshi to rest and prepare for home or travel to Zanzibar!
