Blooming green forest is waiting for its tourists! Discover the striking beauty of the Jozani Forest in the southern part of the island, where you will enjoy incredible local wildlife.
The forest we will go to is located 35 kilometers from the Stone Town, in the southeast of the island. The area of this forest is more than one hundred hectares; it is considered the only surviving tropical forest on the island!
Jozani Forest is not an ordinary forest, but home to many endemic species, such as the red colobus. This species of monkeys is currently considered endangered, and we will have a unique opportunity to look at these amazing primates! For some reason, monkeys, and especially monkeys, are thought to be restless, active, shouty and generally rather boorish creatures. That may be true somewhere, but the Zanzibar colobus is a very different animal. They are very calm and relaxed. And most of all, they're very cute!
Chameleons, crabs, wildcats, birds and butterflies of all kinds can also be found in the park.
Evergreen rainforests, shrubs and a wide variety of other plants are sure to amaze you!
During our short safari I will tell you everything about this place: what kinds of animals, reptiles and birds live here, what are the amazing properties of local plants that can cure many diseases, and much more!
Included: guide, transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar and back, entry tickets.
