Legends of Belarusian Nalshany

• We'll learn about the architecture and culture of this northwestern region of Belarus.
• We'll find out how the Union of Krevo is connected to any modern European monarchy and why one of the Dukes of Nelshansk is honoured in Pskov. How the Reformation was able to change lives of our ancestors for the better and how it came to be that the Nalsana Academy wasn't attended by humans at all.

Many well-known but forgotten names from our past will come alive for us and we are going to see:

• Crewe Castle is the ancient capital of Nalshan, where the famous Crewe Union was concluded.
• The Calvin Zbor in Smorgon is one of the few surviving ones in Belarus.
• The monument to the extraordinary students of Smorgon Academy.
• The monument to Francysk Bagushevich, one of the creators of modern Belarusian language and literature.
• The Church of the Mother of God Ruzhencova - the church in Soly - is home to unusual frescoes related to the history of our country. This place keeps the memory of the soldiers of the Krajowa Army and the man who didn't let Vilna be devoured by the Bolsheviks.
• The Trinity Church in Gеrvyaty is the tallest and one of the most gorgeous cathedrals in Belarus.

It is said that architecture is music frozen in stone. But in order to get us deeper into the fascinating past of Nalshany, we must get acquainted not only with the frozen music, but with the real, live, ancient one, which was once played in these lands. You will have an opportunity not only to hear it, but also to dance to the traditional Belarusian musical instrument which is called duda. This unusual music and vivid impressions from what you see and hear will stay with you for a long time.
