It took many centuries and two major tribes to create the modern Belarusians: the Slavs and the Balts. Together they formed what is now called Belarus, they wrote the chronicle of our nationhood. Let's read it not in the dusty lecture-room, but in the place where the walls of ancient castles breathe with history and legends, and the towers of churches touch the bottomless Belarusian sky.
